The starting point of the hike is the Hotel Müller Hohenschwangau. From here, you start your hike towards the idyllic Schwansee lake, which is also surrounded by the majestic Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein castles. Leave the Hotel Müller Hohenschwangau and head north past the royal castles. Follow the well-signposted paths that lead you through the Schwansee Park. This park was laid out in the 19th century in the English style and offers a beautiful, well-kept landscape.

Schwanseepark was an important part of the Bavarian royal family's recreation area. King Maximilian II had the park laid out to create a place of peace and relaxation. The park extends over a large area and offers numerous hiking trails and idyllic places to linger. The path takes you directly to the Schwansee, a picturesque little lake surrounded by woods and meadows. The lake itself is not only a natural paradise, but also a place of peace and contemplation. Enjoy the view of the clear water and the surrounding nature. Continue your walk along the banks of the Schwansee. The path is well maintained and leads you through a varied landscape with small bays, open meadows and dense forests. After around 1.5 hours, you will reach the starting point of your hike, the Hotel Müller Hohenschwangau. Stop off here and reflect on the impressions of the day with a cool drink or a Bavarian specialty.
